Pedestal Mounts
EnquireA pedestal mount generally incorporates the head, neck and shoulder area of the animal, with the back of the mount carefully shaped and finished rather than positioned against a wall. This creates a sculptural trophy display with greater visual depth than a conventional shoulder mount.
Pedestal mounts may be created in a variety of styles, including:
- Tabletop pedestal mounts (for smaller species)
- Floor-standing pedestal mounts
- Single- or multi-species compositions
- Hardwood, upholstered or natural-style bases
- Custom pedestal cabinetry or display plinths
The body orientation and head position can be selected to suit the client’s display space and preferred viewing angle. Because the mount can often be viewed from several sides, careful attention is given to the shoulder shaping, back finish and transition between the trophy and its base.
Timber finishes, upholstery, hide panels and other decorative details may be selected to complement the client’s trophy room or interior décor. Custom rockwork, vegetation, habitat scenery, carving and unusually complex pedestal structures are available as separately quoted Special Requests.
