EnquireEvery trophy and every client’s vision is unique. Karoo Taxidermy’s Special Requests service offers bespoke features, artistic enhancements and custom-built display elements that fall outside our standard taxidermy specifications.
From intricate skull carving and added rockwork or vegetation to specially constructed bases, custom wall structures and unusual trophy presentations, our team can transform an idea into a distinctive, one-of-a-kind display.
Special Requests may include decorative or structural additions to a standard mount, as well as entirely custom presentations designed around the trophy, the available display space and the client’s individual vision.
Examples include:
- Hand-carved skull detailing
- Additional rockwork, vegetation and habitat scenery
- Custom rock structures for wall-pedestal mounts
- Specially designed bases, branches and display supports
- Non-standard pose or presentation requirements
- Bespoke combinations of trophies, materials or decorative elements
- Other artistic or structural enhancements beyond the standard mount specification
Because these elements require additional design, materials and craftsmanship, they are quoted separately from the standard taxidermy price. Feasibility and final pricing will depend on the trophy, the complexity of the request and the materials required.
Clients are encouraged to discuss their ideas with their Karoo Taxidermy client liaison during the selection process. Reference photographs, sketches and details about the intended display area are always helpful when developing a custom concept.
