Gerenuk/African Gazelle
Go Back EnquireGerenuk/Giraffe Gazelle (Litocranius walleri)
The Gerenuk, also known as the Giraffe Gazelle, is an exceptionally distinctive East African antelope recognised by its elongated neck, slender build and elegant, lyre-shaped horns.
Uniquely adapted for browsing, the Gerenuk can stand upright on its hind legs to reach foliage beyond the reach of many other antelope species. Karoo Taxidermy’s full mount captures this remarkable natural feeding behaviour in a dramatic, lifelike display.
