The Cape Grysbok is a small, secretive antelope endemic to South Africa. Its reddish-brown coat is interspersed with fine white hairs, creating the distinctive grizzled appearance from which its name is derived.
Males carry short, straight horns and are recognised by their compact build, large ears and delicate facial features. The species’ small size and subtle natural character make it particularly well suited to carefully crafted shoulder and pedestal mounts.

Cape Grysbok taxidermy requires delicate anatomical work to preserve the species’ fine facial structure, large expressive ears, short needle-like horns and distinctive grizzled coat.
Due to its small proportions, a Cape Grysbok trophy can be displayed effectively as a traditional shoulder mount, a freestanding pedestal mount or as part of a custom Tiny Ten/Twelve or small-antelope composition.
The Cape Grysbok’s reddish-brown colouring varies naturally between individuals. Fine white hairs scattered through the coat create its characteristic frosted or grizzled appearance, which should be preserved rather than mistaken for fading or uneven colour.
