The Mountain Reedbuck is an elegant, medium-sized African antelope recognised by its soft grey-brown coat, white underparts, large rounded ears and distinctive forward-curving horns.
Typically associated with mountainous grasslands, rocky slopes and elevated valleys, Mountain Reedbuck are well adapted to steep terrain. They generally live in small groups and use a characteristic shrill whistle to warn others of approaching danger.

Shoulder Mounts
A traditional shoulder mount presents the Mountain Reedbuck’s refined facial features, large ears and compact horns in a clean and elegant format.
The head may be positioned looking straight or turned ⅛, ¼ or ½ to either side, depending on the available trophy-room space and the relationship between the mount and surrounding displays.
Wall Pedestal Mounts
A wall pedestal includes more of the shoulder and upper body, adding depth, movement and visual interest. This style is particularly effective when the mount is positioned alongside other African plains-game species.
Mountain Reedbuck wall pedestals are available in either a Right Turn or Left Turn, with the head direction recorded separately.
- Right Turn: The animal’s left shoulder is against the wall.
- Left Turn: The animal’s right shoulder is against the wall.
The head can then be positioned looking straight, ⅛, ¼ or ½ to either side.
