Oribi Taxidermy Mounts
Go Back EnquireThe Oribi (Ourebia ourebi) is a graceful, slender antelope associated with Africa’s open grasslands. Its fine reddish-golden coat, white underparts, elongated neck and distinctive dark facial glands give the species a delicate and immediately recognisable appearance.
Male Oribi carry slender, upright horns that are ringed near the base. Their alert posture, fine facial features and compact proportions make them particularly well suited to carefully sculpted shoulder mounts and natural full-body presentations.
Oribi favour open grasslands containing areas of shorter grazing and patches of taller vegetation that provide concealment. This combination of open habitat and protective cover is reflected in our handcrafted habitat bases, using grasses, shrubs and natural ground features to complement each mount. Animal Diversity Web
At Karoo Taxidermy, every Oribi trophy is individually sculpted and finished to preserve the species’ refined facial structure, delicate colouring and naturally alert character. Clients may select a traditional shoulder mount or commission a full mount with a customised habitat base.
